Travelling to Disney is, in several ways, good for the kid and an experience I definitely recommend.
Disney World, or officialy known as Walt Disney World Resort, is located approximately 34 km southwest of Orlando, Florida, United States. Disney World (DW) is a famous recreational complex recognized by its theme parks and multiple hotels. DW has four theme parks and 23 themed resort hotels. In the mid-year vacations of 2002, I went to Disney World with my family. There are two issues that traveling to Disney World can impact a young person´s life like me, the attractions, and learning about another culture.
The attractions were amazing. I would say that they are the best that I have ever seen. My height was ideal to enter to most games. The first two days of the trip my family and I rested from the large air trip, and visited Orlando and its malls, restaurants, and attractions. Later the third day we went to DW to Magic Kingdom and participated in many attractions like Splash Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain, Buzz Light-year’s adventure, Peter Pan´s flight, and others. After that, we went to Animal Kingdom and visited the Tree of Life, Expedition Everest, Pocahontas and Her Forest Friends, and others. And last we went to MGM, officially known as Disney's Hollywood Studios.
The American culture impacted me because it seemed so different from Guatemala´s culture, in the food, in language, and in education. I liked the food in the hotel very much because it was a buffet. USA´s food is known to be fast food, and I missed my black beans, my tortillas, etc. The fact that I remember the most about Americans is that I never understood, the first time that I listened to them. I thought it was a joke, only my mom could communicate with them. The Americans are more polite than Guatemalans. People were always reading. Americans respect the traffic rules, tourist life, and the cleanness.
In conclusion the things that impacted me more of the trip to Disney World were the amazing attractions, and the American culture because it is so different from mine. Travelling to Disney is, in several ways, good for the kid and an experience I definitely recommend.
